Same as the previous one and the decoder was reborn, strange is that the old one still supplied 12 volts at least the tester gave this value, but the decoder remained off with the red LED on, received in just over a week. Everything went well.
I bought the Meon 1 4K Google TV streamer. It is one of the earlier Google TV’s with the newer Amlogic X5M SoC. It works well and I get a significant improvement in 4K picture quality when I plug in the UGreen USB to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - the streaming based content gets much better. I needed the optical output - as I have a 2.1 system .
If you need specific features this is a good 4K Google TV box!

A worthwhile looksee for clients looking to replace a F*stick device. Similar setup as with any Goo*le device. I customized my MEgo1 4k with just a few apps to not tax the processor & adequate memory. As a personal preference I have the device attached to a USB to C ethernet adapter for cat6e hardwire benefit; the playback for 2160p files has been outstanding. ; I found the wifi playback glitchy. 2gb/8gb storage is on par with other devices. Price point in $🇨🇦$ if you get for around $100 is s reasonable
The Android 14 update brought new life to an older android tv box. It works well, it's snappy at times but the stock google launcher is bloated and slow. I would love for MeCool to give us the option to upgrade to the 64bit of Android TV 14.

I have to say the MECOOL KT2 is quite cool for the price. The unit does what is says. I must mention for those in Australia, the channel scan needs to be completed using another country as 'Australia' is not listed to select. If you connect to A-typical transmitters then you will have to manually input the required frequency etc. Once complete, the HD channels are displayed very well. The unit can be upgraded to higher Android OS (big plus) by contacting manufacturer. I also have to mention the after sales tech support has been unexpectantly excellent. Worth a try if you in the market for unit like this one!
