We are happy to announce that a new software update is rolling out to all MECOOL KM2. This release updates the operating system from Android 10 to Android 12. Please note this update will be gradually rolled out to all devices from today.
Additionally, MECOOL KM2 has been optimized for Android 12 with minor fixes.
1. Update the security patches of Android10, Android11, and Android12;
2. Integrate the failed item modification of platform GTV.
3. Updated some application versions;
4. Fixed the HDR option issue(support Adaptive HDR)

Upgrade path: setting-device preference-about-system update-check for update
1、It is not possible to downgrade the firmware to a lower version.
2、Without permission to access data, users are required to move their data stored in the "data" folder before updating.
3、Some applications are not compatible with Android 12 and may crash. For example, Vstro Player and Ott Platinum require an application update.
4、The "skip" option is no longer available in the account settings during the startup wizard.
5、The snowflake design that appears when clicking "Confirm" in the settings interface is a new feature introduced in Android 12.

Hello, I updated it a few months ago, I did a factory reset, but the TV box still slows down at times and gets laggy. It has even crashed, causing me to turn the TV box off and on again. With Android 10 I didn’t have any problems.

There hasn’t been an update to this antique device since Feb 2021 and external storage can no longer be used with updated apps so it’s just a paperweight. Locked bootloader communist trash.

pesima la actualizacion la hizo mas lenta,el mando tarde ,ucho en configurarlo, tarda una eternidad en encender siempre inicia de cerop cuando la enciendo, que mal mecool eran mi favorita, practicamente ya no me sirve el tvbox, que me informen si puedo regresar al android 10

No he tenido mayores problemas con esta actualizacion, solo una, ya no puedo jugar en RetroArch, no reconoce mi tarjeta de memoria externa, me gustaria que le sigan dando soporte a este producto para que los problemas desaparezcan.

La actualización de android 12 tiene muchos errores en la conexión de dispositivos Bluetooth en la interfaz de “Solución de vinculación de Bluetooth” también desconecta el control remoto la TV box funcionaba un poco mejor en la versión android 10

La actualizacion empeoro la calidad de imagen de la app STAR+ ya que antes los partidos tanto de futbol como basket se veian full HD a 60 FPS y ahora 720p y como maximo 30 FPS. Se nota bastante la diferencia, antes un partido de 90 min consumia 4 o 5 GB de datos y ahora con suerte 1 GB lo cual habla a las claras de la perdida de calidad del stream. No se como alguien puede hacer una actualizacion para empeorar la experiencia es algo de no creer. Lo peor es que no se puede volver al android 10 original. Tengo una calentura que ni veo

La actualización resuelve problemas que ya daba con el android tv 10 , si a alguien le dio problemas que lo ponga de fabrica e instale aplicaciones en limpio , gracias por esta actualización el tv box va perfecto .

A los que actualizaron y les está dando problemas la caja, desgraciadamente deben de darle reset y empezzar de cero y se arregla (al menos así la arreglé yo) luego de eso corre super bien.

2 navegacion por la interfaz muy mala siempre se traba
3 uso del microfono del control que ya no puede reconocer la voz tras pasar usándolo un breve momento fallo en el asistente de google
4 congelacion total de la tv box en momentos de presionar el botom home
5 mecool km2 totalmente inservible en 2024 felicidades lo arruinaron uno de los mejores tv box. estaba mejor con el androi 10. son unos inutiles

To Guido Manetti, remove the batteries and put again. It’s solve the problem.
Mecool, the update (in some cases) when the Box power on, dont recognize the bluetooth control. If remove and put again the batteries is working again.

I have 3 KM2 boxes. All of them received the latest 1/19/2024 update. All of them now have issues with the Google Play Store, Youtube, and SlingTV freezing up. I have spent hours clearing cache, data, uninstalling and re-installing all of those apps. The update has caused all 3 boxes to be very unusable.

The update was performed, but the system was stuck on the home screen, it is not possible to move in the menu and I cannot open any application.
